CAMPUS VISIT PROGRAMS
Transfer students, please feel free to join us for one of our Transfer Saturday Tours!
Visit UNCW - Campus Tours
There is more to UNCW than classrooms, books and buildings. You need to meet the faculty and staff, talk to students and experience how special our campus is! The ideal way to experience the UNCW campus is with a campus tour, guided by our enthusiastic UNCW Student Ambassadors and Seahawk Admissions Network for Diversity (SAND) members.
Campus Tour Schedule
Tours are offered when classes are in session; tours are not offered on holidays and when classes are not in session (student vacations, intersessions in Summer School, etc.). If a date is not available, you will not be able to select it when signing up via SeaLevel.

Saturday Tours
Throughout the fall and spring semesters, the university will offer campus tours at 1 p.m. on select Saturday dates. These tours are designed to accommodate guests traveling greater distances or who would otherwise be unable to visit the campus Monday through Friday.
Spring 2012 Semester, First Year Saturday tours will be on the following dates:
February 18, 2012
March 3, 2012
April 14, 2012
May 5, 2012
Register for Saturday tours the same way you would for a normal weekday tour via SeaLevel. Saturday tours fill up quickly -- so register as early as possible.
*Please note these tours are geared towards first year students and will not contain transfer admissions information.
Each student must register at least 3 days in advance for a campus tour. This means if your group includes three prospective students traveling together, each student should register separately.
To register for a campus tour, login to your SeaLevel account and click on "Visit UNCW" on the navigation area on the left of your homepage. Then choose "Schedule a Tour" from the drop-down menu. Finally, select the date you wish to visit and input the required information. A confirmation e-mail will be sent to the e-mail on file with your SeaLevel account confirming your visit.
As a convenience to our guests, if a particular tour date or time is full (or a tour is not being offered on that day) SeaLevel will not allow you to choose that date/time.
What to Expect During Your Visit
Campus tours will last approximately one-and-a-half to two hours. Your tour will begin with a 20-30 minute information session with an admission counselor, which serves as a brief overview and introduction to the university and an in-depth look at the admission process and requirements. A walking tour of campus will begin immediately after this information session and cover all academic and student life aspects of campus.
Since all of our campus tours follow a predetermined route, you are encouraged to make appointments for before or after your tour with any other departments of interest before arriving on campus (e.g. a particular academic department of interest, Scholarships & Financial Aid, Athletics, the Honors Scholars Program, etc.).
Touring On-Campus Housing
UNCW policy prohibits campus tours from going inside of our residential facilities. Under no circumstances will a tour group or guest be permitted to tour on-campus housing. For this reason, you may want to view photos, video, and floor plans of the various residential locations prior to your visit on the Housing & Residence Life webpage. Housing tours will be offered on our open house program for prospect juniors and seniors, Just Juniors and Seahawk Saturday.
If you are unable to visit campus during our regular business hours, you may elect to print the following PDF documents and tour the campus on your own:
- Self-Guided Tour (PDF)
- Self-Guided Driving Residence Hall Tour Directions (PDF)
Note: You will not be permitted to enter any on-campus housing. - UNCW Campus Map
