PHASED RETIREMENT PROGRAM OPEN ENROLLMENT
September 1, 2011 – November 23, 2011
The open enrollment period for tenured faculty who wish to enter the Phased Retirement Program (the “Program”) beginning in the 2012 - 2013 academic year is September 1, 2011 through November 23, 2011. Participants must attend a meeting in Human Resources and review enrollment materials by November 23, 2011.
The Program is available only to full-time tenured faculty members if, by August 1, 2012, they:
- Have at least five years of full-time service at UNCW;
- Are age 62 or older for members of the Teachers’ and State Employees’ Retirement System (TSERS) or 59 ½ or older for participants in the Optional Retirement Program; and
- Are eligible to receive retirement benefits through either TSERS or the ORP, as applicable.
Interested faculty are strongly encouraged to attend an informational meeting in on September 14th from 9:00 – 10:30 am in the FSC Sunset Beach Room or September 22nd from 3:00 to 4:30 pm in the FSC Topsail Island Room.
