We want our active duty and veteran students to understand that the Registrar’s Office provides several options in recognition of their service to our country.
We offer:
- If called to active duty, we will grant the student with a leave of absence, after our receipt of his/her orders.
- If called to active duty, we will release the student from all financial obligations for all terms during the call to service.
- Upon return from active duty, a re-enrolling application and fee will not be required. Students simply notify the Registrar’s office of their intent to return and for which term.
- Credit may be earned and applied to the student’s degree program based on prior military training. Students should present a transcript from the respective branch of service.
- Physical Education (PED 101), a basic studies requirement, is waived for current military personnel or veterans who have served two or more years of active duty.
- Active duty personnel and their families can apply for in-state residency based on their current level of service.
- At commencement and at the discretion of the student, the graduate’s rank and branch of service will be read as their name is announced.
For more information on any of these options, contact the Registrar’s Office.
