Non-Degree Seeking Admission -
Special Undergraduate Students
Students interested in enrolling at UNCW as a Special Undergraduate will want to carefully review the following information. Please be aware enrollment as a special undergraduate student does not provide the opportunity to earn a second Bachelor’s degree.
Student must have:
- Graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from a four-year regionally accredited institution in good academic standing.
How to Apply
You can apply Online via SeaLevel.
- SeaLevel (Online)
Create or log-in to your SeaLevel account and click on “Apply to UNCW”, and then on “Online Application”. The SeaLevel application will allow you to save your information at any point and continue at a later date prior to submission.
- Pay the non-Refundable $75 Application Fee
- Submit official transcripts from the degree awarding institution
- Fall - May 1 - EXTENDED to Friday, June 13
All application materials (i.e. official final high school transcripts, all official college or university transcripts, essay, and application fee) must be received by this date.
- Spring - November 1
Decisions are only sent via US Mail.
Academic Advising & Course Registration
Academic advising is not available for Special Undergraduate students. If the course you wish to enroll in has pre-requisites, it is the student’s responsibility to work with the Department to obtain the necessary override to enroll in the course. Students working toward teacher certification or teacher licensure are encouraged to contact the Mr. Sam Black in the Watson College of Education.
Upon admission to UNCW as a Special Undergraduate student, students must pay the non-refundable $100.00 enrollment deposit. Once the enrollment deposit is paid, within one to two days students may then register for classes by accessing SeaNet. Transfer of Credit
Transcripts of work completed at UNCW must be requested through the Office of the Registrar.
