Selected high school juniors or seniors who wish to pursue an academic program on the collegiate level while attending high school, may enroll at UNCW if they meet the qualifications for participation in this program.
This program is available primarily to students in the Wilmington area. Dual Enrollment applications for admission are available in the office of the high school counselor, in the UNCW Admissions Office, or download the application here.
- Students may enter this program at the beginning of the fall, spring, or summer term, and may only register for 2 undergraduate courses per term (6 credit hours).
- Please remember that any Dual Enrolled student currently enrolled in UNCW classes is also required to complete the application and send in an updated transcript.
Applications and course selections should be received in the UNCW Office of Admissions no later than the first day of preregistration for any given term.

Requirements For Admission
- Student must be in good academic standing with their high school.
- Student must be in their junior or senior year. Some exceptions may apply.
- Student must have a 3.5 cumulative grade point average.
- Student must have a SAT score of 1100 or higher (math & critical reading combined) or a PSAT of 110 or higher.
- Student must complete and application packet which includes the following:
- Dual Enrollment application
- Official High School transcript
- Signature of guidance counselor or principal
Enrollment Checklist
- As a new Dual Enrolled Student you must pay your enrollment deposit of $100 towards tuition before registering for classes. Payment can be made through the Student Accounts Office.
- If you are planning on taking a math course you MUST take the math placement test before you are able to register for the class. Contact the Math Lab for information. The placement exam will ensure that you choose the correct math class.
- If you are planning on taking a foreign language course you MUST take the placement test online before you are able to register for the class. The placement exam will ensure that you choose the correct language class.
- Once you have been accepted to UNCW as a new Dual Enrolled student, you will need to obtain a student ID. You can obtain this ID though Auxiliary Services, located on the back side of the Warwick Center. Campus Map
- New Dual Enrolled students are also required to obtain a UNCW parking pass if you wish to drive to campus. You can find the appropriate forms and price breakdown for the parking permits at the Auxiliary Services website.
Registration Information
Dual Enrolled High School students do not need to attend orientation. Please check for your registration times and status as well as class schedule information on SeaNet. Check your registration status for the time. You may register for classes by accessing SeaNet at www.uncw.edu and clicking on "Current Students," and then following the link to "SeaNet." In order to access SeaNet, you will need your student ID number and your 6-digit Personal Access Code (PIN). Your user ID for SeaNet will be a nine digit number that begins with "85" and your pin is initially your birth date in format MMDDYY. After logging in you will be required to change your pin to another 6 digit number. You will also be required to create a security question and answer. You can retrieve your student ID and your PIN through a link on the SeaNet login page.
