Education - Watson School of Education
The Watson School of Education is the fourth-largest producer of teachers at the undergraduate level in the State of North Carolina, and has been rated "exemplary" by the State Board of Education; less than 15% of North Carolina teacher education programs receive this honor.
In 2006, the Watson School received the Christa McAuliffe Award for Excellence in Teacher Education from the American Association of State Colleges and Universities, which honors leadership and innovation in teacher education.
The Watson School of Education has excellent partnerships with businesses, school systems and community colleges throughout the Cape Fear region and continues to produce exceptionally-talented and well-prepared teachers.
