The UNCW alumni recruitment team S.T.A.R.T. (Seahawk Territory Alumni Recruitment Team) is a partnership between UNCW Admissions and the UNCW Alumni Association. S.T.A.R.T. volunteers are alumni interested in assisting the Admission Office with recruitment efforts in their surrounding areas. By doing so, they are able to share some of their own undergraduate or graduate experiences while meeting prospective students and their families and helping their alma mater.
“It was a unique pleasure as an alumnus to share my UNCW experience with potential students at the college fair. My years at UNCW as a student were so positive because of the personal attention I received from professors. I’m amazed at how UNCW continues to keep such a personal rapport with its existing and potential students, despite the explosive growth of the university over the past decade.
Additionally, athletics at UNCW provided me with such a great additional avenue to grow and mature. It was exciting to see so many potential UNCW applicants interested in the many extracurricular activities UNCW offers to complement standard coursework. The opportunity set UNCW offers potential applicants is outstanding, which undoubtedly has made UNCW an increasingly popular choice among high school students in North Carolina and across the United States. As an alumnus, UNCW’s increase in stature is exciting to see and be a part of.”
