About this Chapter

Nearly 13,000 UNCW alumni graduated from the business school. As a valued member of the Alumni Association, each person is a part of the chapter. The group hosts signature events such as the quarterly Speaker Breakfast Series and participates in the annual Business Week program.

2012 CSB Outstanding Alumni Breakfast & Panel Discussion
On Wednesday, March 28, 2012, 50 alumni, faculty, staff and students gathered in Madeline Suite on UNCW's campus for a breakfast to honor the three CSB Outstanding Alumni of the year. Carlton Fisher '83, Jimmy Parker '98M, and Jason Wheeler '99, '03M were presented with the distinguished award. Dean Clark moderated a panel discussion with the winners following the award presentation. The alumni discussed their successful careers and explained how their experiences at UNCW enriched their lives. The attendees enjoyed the breakfast as they networked with fellow Seahawk alumni and faculty members. Take a look at photos!

Homecoming Alumni Breakfast
In celebration of UNCW Homecoming 2012, on Saturday, February 4, the Cameron School of Business (CSB) and UNCW Alumni Association hosted a breakfast in the Computer Information Systems atrium for CSB graduates. Alumni, faculty and current students had a great time networking, reminiscing and learning about the past and the future of CSB. Take a look at photos!

CSB Alumni Chapter Speaker Breakfast with Shaun Olsen '02
On Wednesday, October 26, 2011, over 50 alumni, faculty, staff, students and community members gathered in Burney Center for a networking breakfast with keynote speaker Shaun Olsen '02. Olsen is the owner of Olsen Enterprises, which established its first company, BBXComputers, in 2002. Olsen later created AcoustiCreations, Inc. and Opterex, Inc., Cape Fear businesses focused on network administration, systems integration and product management. His presentation "The New Epoch of Technology and Entrepreneurship" was informational and inspiring. CSB Alumni Chapter Speaker Breakfast with Livian Jones '95M
On Thursday, April 7, 40 alumni, faculty, staff, students and community members gathered in the Burney Center for a networking breakfast with keynote speaker Livian Jones. As a 1995 MBA graduate and Vice President of John S. Clark Company, Livian has soared to great heights throughout her career in the construction and engineering industry while continuously giving back to her community. She makes time for countless volunteer hours and board leadership positions. Jones spoke about the importance and economic impact of community involvement. Guests enjoyed the beautiful spring morning as they made new connections over breakfast and spoke with old friends and faculty members. View Photos!

CSB Alumni Breakfast during Homecoming 2011

On February 19, the Cameron School of Business (CSB) and UNCW Alumni Association hosted a breakfast in the Computer Information Systems atrium for CSB graduates. Alumni, faculty and current students had a great time sharing stories and learning about the past and the future of CSB. CSB Alumni Chapter Speaker Breakfast with keynote speaker Jeff Mann '92
On Thursday, October 28, over 40 alumni, faculty, staff, students and community members gathered in Burney Center for a networking breakfast with keynote speaker Jeff Mann '92. Mr. Mann is Amtrak's Assistance Vice President of Policy and Development for the Southern Region. In this role Jeff oversees state supported intercity passenger rail services and the development of emerging markets for Southern states. His presentation focused on Amtrak and the future of passenger rail in the Southeast. The attendees enjoyed networking over breakfast as they spoke with old friends and faculty members. View Photos!

On Thursday, June 24, 50 alumni, faculty, staff, students and community members gathered in Burney Center for a networking breakfast with keynote speaker Bob Rippy. Mr. Rippy is a successful entrepreneur and owner of Jungle Rapids Family Fun Park. Jungle Rapids is one of the largest family entertainment centers in North Carolina. His presentation focused on tourism and the economic environment. The attendees enjoyed networking over breakfast as they spoke with old friends and faculty members. View Photos!
