Seahawk Sweethearts 2014
Did you meet your sweetheart at UNCW? If so, you are invited to share your story for a chance to win a two-night stay in downtown Wilmington at the brand new Courtyard by Marriot during Homecoming Weekend, February 21-23, 2014!*
How to Enter
To enter the "Seahawk Sweethearts" contest, participants must submit a photo of themselves, their first and last names, class years and valid email, along with the story of how they met, to the Office of Alumni Relations in one of the following ways:
- Email your photo and your Seahawk Sweetheart’s story to firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Post your photo on our Facebook wall and include your story as the photo description.
All entries will be posted on the UNCW Alumni Facebook page in an album entitled "Seahawk Sweethearts Contest 2014." The contest winner will be determined by the submission that receives the most "Likes" by Monday, February 3 at Noon, EST.
*ELIGIBILITY & REQUIREMENTS
The Seahawk Sweethearts contest is open to UNCW alumni couples. Current students and employees of the UNCW Division of University Advancement and their spouses may submit photos and stories, but are not eligible to win. Submissions will be accepted starting January 8 and ending January 31, 2014, Noon EST. All entries must be received in this time period in order to be entered for the prize. The Office of Alumni Relations reserves the right to modify the deadline for submissions due to circumstances beyond its control.
By submitting, entrants warrant that the photograph and stories submitted are original and do not infringe on the rights/copyrights of any third party. Alumni may not nominate or make submissions for another couple. The Office of Alumni Relations reserves the right to remove/disqualify submissions or content deemed inappropriate or questionable in any way.
The Office of Alumni Relations in its sole judgment shall determine whether the submission materials meet all the requirements for entry into the drawing.
By submitting photographs and stories, entrants agree to all the terms and conditions listed above and grant the Office of Alumni Relations the right to publish, use, distribute, reproduce and display submissions, and to create derivative works from submissions, in perpetuity, in any of its online, print or other media publications, materials or exhibitions, without payment of compensation unless prohibited by law.
WINNER SELECTION & NOTIFICATION
Contest winners will be chosen from the submission that receives the most “Likes” by Monday, February 3 at Noon, EST. Winners will receive an email confirmation from the Office of Alumni Relations and must respond to this email within five business days or the submission with the second highest “Likes” will be chosen.
Contest winners will receive a two-night stay in a suite at the Courtyard by Marriott on 229 North 2nd Street in Wilmington for the dates of Friday, February 21 and Saturday, February 22. Contest prize covers all related fees and taxes; additional expenses incurred will be the responsibility of the contest winners.
