Scholarships
The UNCW Alumni Association annually awards scholarships funded by alumni contributions. These scholarships will be awarded to deserving UNCW full-time, incoming, undergraduate and graduate students for the 2009-2010 academic year. Most of the scholarships are merit based with an emphasis on GPA and SAT scores.
The scholarship application deadline for the 2009-10 academic year has passed and letters have been sent to scholarship recipients on April 30, 2009. If you did not receive an Alumni Association Scholarship thank you for your submission and we wish you the best of luck next year.

| Bob King '66 Scholarship | Incoming or currently enrolled student. | Minimum course load of 12 credit hours. GPA of 3.5 or higher. |
| Claire Stanley Ambassador Scholarship | Currently enrolled student. | Member in good standing with Student Ambassador Program and a GPA of 3.25 or higher at UNCW. |
| Cape Fear Bank/John Cameron Coburn Alumni Scholarship | Must be accepted or currently enrolled in the Cameron School of Business. | CSB current or incoming student with a GPA of 3.4 or higher. |
| Gerald Shinn Alumni Association Merit Scholarship | Incoming or currently enrolled student. | Minimum GPA of 3.4 or higher. |
| Geraldine King Morris Nursing Scholarship | Must be accepted or currently enrolled in the school of nursing. Preference given to those students with a desire to join the armed forces, top priority to the army. | Minimum GPA of 3.25 or higher. |
| Hugh Henry Fox Scholarship | Incoming or currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student. | Minimum GPA of 3.4 or higher. |

| Jim A. Humphries Alumni Scholarship | Incoming or rising enrolled Junior or Senior. | Minimum GPA of 2.50 or higher and a strong record of campus leadership and community service. |
| Lewis/Wiley Alumni Graduate Fellowship | Incoming or currently enrolled graduate student. | Merit scholarship with no minimum GPA. |
| Patricia Corcoran Smith '72 Alumni Scholarship | Incoming freshmen only. | High school GPA of 3.50 or higher, taking 12 credit hours at UNCW minimum. |
