Tricia Staton ’93 joined the UNCW
Alumni Association Board of Directors in 1996 as a volunteer extraordinaire.
She has served on the executive committee as secretary and was a
member of the awards/nominations, alumni development, budget/finance
and scholarship committees during her tenure and has provided valuable
guidance to the board. Her leadership style is full of spunk, drive
and determination to achieve the goals of the association. Tricia
is married to Ron Staton ’65, and as a couple they enjoy the
excitement of Seahawk basketball, boating and traveling. She avidly
walks “The Loop” at Wrightsville Beach, tutors at Parsley
Elementary School and is active at Fifth Avenue Methodist. Currently
human resources manager for Sage Corporation, Tricia was a flight
attendant with USAirways from 1976 until Dec. 2001 when she accepted
a three-year furlough. Attending classes at UNCW while she was working,
Tricia was named the 1994 Outstanding Management Student. She soars
at everything she attempts, and the alumni association is proud
of this board member and university friend.
