LEGACY LUNCHEON RESCHEDULED

Postponed because of Hurricane Charley, the luncheon will recognize families who are making UNCW a family tradition. This fall, there are 51 freshmen who have a parent who is a graduate of UNCW; three students also have a grandparent who is an alumnus. During the pinning ceremony, the alumnus parent will “pin” his or her student with a lapel pin, signifying the student’s status as a UNCW legacy. Students attending also receive a T-shirt and other giveaways. Chancellor Rosemary DePaolo will welcome students along with Ed Vosnock ’71, UNCW Alumni Association Board of Directors chairman, and Zack Wynne, Student Government Association president.
