The Young Alumni Council will announce the winner of the 2004 Young Alumnus of the Year award during its Homecoming celebration, 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23 in the Center Stage Cafe, Warwick Center. All 1993-2003 graduates are invited to the party which will feature a DJ and refreshments. There is no charge for admission but reservations are required and can be made by contacting the Alumni Relations Office.

As part of Homecoming 2004, AAGA is planning two days full of activities. On Friday, Jan. 23, members will be joining the Upperman African American Cultural Center for an alumni open house from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the center, located on the second floor of the University Union. That will be followed by a student-alumni social from 4 to 7 p.m. in University Union, Room 100. Next is the AAGA Step Show at 8 p.m. in Kenan Auditorium (tickets $10 in advance or $15 at the door). The day concludes with the AAGA Old School Jam from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. in University Union, Room 100 (tickets $5). At 9 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, AAGA will have a board meetingin Warwick Center, Room 138, followed by lunch at noon in the Center Stage Cafe. Chancellor Rosemary DePaolo will be the guest speaker. AAGA members will host a half-time social in Trask Coliseum, Room 142. After the game, they will gather at Alleigh's for the victory celebration.

The Cameron School of Business Alumni Chapter will host a half-time social during the Homecoming 2004 men's basketball game. It will be in the James Hall conference room. Refreshments will be served. The chapter is helping with the Cameron School’s 25th anniversary “Celebrating Excellence” March 24-27 and needs the help of all business alumni to make this event a success.
