UNCW rallied from a double-digit deficit for the second consecutive game to remain unbeaten on the new season with a 107-95 victory over visiting Troy in men’s college basketball Nov. 17 in Trask Coliseum. The Seahawks, who erased a 18-point deficit in their season-opening win over Appalachian State, came from 16 points down to improve to 2-0. The Trojans dropped to 0-2 following their second loss in three days. UNCW has broken the century mark in all three appearances this season, including an exhibition game vs. St. Andrews (101) and regular season matchups with ASU (108) and Troy (107).

Sophomore Greta Luksyte scored a game-high 15 points to lead four Seahawk players in double figures as UNCW defeated Winston-Salem State, 65-50, in women’s collegiate basketball action Nov. 15 in the ISES Cancer Awareness Classic, hosted by Elon University. The Seahawks improved to 2-0 on the young season while the Lady Rams dropped to 0-2. UNCW is back in action Thursday, Nov. 20, in its home opener as it takes on UNC Greensboro in a noon tip-off.
