More than 50 years have passed, and UNCW’s reputation continues to soar.  For nine consecutive years, U.S. News and World Report has ranked UNCW among the top 10 undergraduate public universities in the South, and Kiplinger's has named UNCW one of "100 best values" in public colleges.  UNCW also received the 2007 "Best in the Southeast" designation by The Princeton Review.

Volunteerism renews and restores the spirit!  Giving of yourself to your university pays many dividends that include satisfaction, joy and pride.  We invite you to become an active part of the UNCW Alumni Association by serving on our core board or chapter boards, attending our events and activities or communicating your needs to our office staff.  Your support is a valuable part of the university's and our alumni association's success.  Thank you for the role you play in launching us into the next century.

The best way for our alumni to volunteer is through developing our chapters and clubs. If a chapter is already established in your area, please contact the chapter president and see how your participation can help UNCW in your area. If there is no existing chapter, consider becoming a contact for alumni in your area – the first step in chapter development. Contacts often generate enough interest among local alumni that an active chapter can be developed.

For more information on these and other volunteer opportunities, contact the Alumni Association at alumni@uncw.edu or by calling 800-596-2880.  Thank you for your interest in volunteering and spreading the goodwill of UNCW in your community.
