Ronald Stueber
Engineering Staff IV
United Space Alliance

Ronald (Ron) Stueber has been with USA for 10 ½ years and is currently in the position of Engineer Staff IV. Ron earned a Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. His area of specialty at USA is Mission Planning.

Ron grew up along the Delaware Rive in Phillipsburg, New Jersey which sparked his fascination with the water and the ability to breathe underwater. As a child, Chuck Yeager was Ron’s hero and his interest in aviation started at 5 years old when he went to an air show with family. The coolest thing Ron has seen underwater would have to be the eagle ray and sea turtles when he was diving in Roatan, Honduras.

During the current NEEMO mission, Ron’s role will be as a mission planner, and his training as an International Space Station Flight Controller in Houston’s Mission Control Center will most definitely come in handy. He is looking forward to working with a diverse group of medical and engineering professionals and supporting the Aquanauts as they perform their mission.

When Ron is not at work, he enjoys water skiing, boating, kayaking, photography and electronic gaming.

Ron got his SCUBA certification in high school and took flying lessons in high school through the Boy Scouts Aviation Explorers Club, both of which continued his interested in the deep blue sea and gave him the drive to continue his education in the aerospace field.
