Ryan Okano
Graduate student
Botany Department
University of Hawai'i at Manoa

Ryan Okano is a graduate student in the Botany Department at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa. His research interest include intertidal algae ecology and the taxonomy of Hawaiian algae. Currently Ryan is looking at how physical factors affect intertidal algae populations on the Hamakua coast of Hawaii. This is his first NURC mission. He is very excited and enthusiastic about being in Florida.
