Ken is currently pursuing a PhD. In Evolutionary Biology at the University of South Carolina under Dr. Tim Mousseau.  His dissertation falls under the wide umbrella of sexual selection, focusing mainly on the underlying genetic architecture and selective pressures surrounding the evolution of mating and reproductive success in a model insect system. His interest in diving began while serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in Jamaica, where he worked through his indentured servitude as a research assistant and decompression chamber operator at the Discovery Bay Marine Lab. Ken's experience in insurmountable human suffering (e.g. grad school) and lack of aquaphobia (showers daily) makes him an ideal support member for this mission.
