Matt Mills is a Ph.D. student at the University of Maryland at College Park in the laboratory of Dr. Ken Sebens. His research investigates the ingestion and assimilation of downward fluxing particulate matter by stony corals, with specific emphasis on nitrogen nutrition. While in graduate school he has spent time collecting data in Jamaica, Belize, Florida, and Bermuda. In 1994, Matt participated in a Aquarius Underwater Habitat mission as a member of Dr. Ken Sebens' team investigating zooplankton feeding by corals. After this mission he plans to spend the next year analyzing samples and writing his dissertation.
