Tim Gallagher is a Dive Specialist and Training Coordinator for the National Undersea Research Center at UNCW. He was born and raised in Fort Collins, Colorado. Tim received a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University, and he holds medical certifications as an EMT/DMT, and several Technical Diving Certifications including nitrox, deep air, and semi-closed rebreather. Tim is also Director of the Cambrian Foundation, an organization created for the purpose of conducting scientific research, and preservation and exploration of the world's aquatic environments. Tim has coordinated and participated in several technical diving expeditions around the world, including: the USS Monitor Survey to depths of 240 feet, the City of Ainsworth in British Colombia to depths of 350 feet, and the Great Blue Hole off Belize to 408 feet. Current expeditions that Tim is working on include exploratory dives in the Cenotes of Akumal and the caves and springs of Wakiva Springs State Park in Florida.
