Martin M. Quigley, MD Diving Biography Although a certified diver for over 10 years, it is only since moving to Florida in 1993 that the easy access to a wide variety of diving conditions led to my increased involvement in recreational and technical diving, and dive instruction. I am an active PADI (http://www.padi.com/) instructor (Master Scuba Diver Trainer #91689) and am certified to teach diving specialty courses such as Wreck Diver, Deep Diver, Enriched Air (Nitrox), Cavern Diver, Night Diver, U/W Navigation and Oxygen First Aid. In addition, I am a certified full cave diver and mixed gas diver (Trimix). I have been diving 280' deep in Florida caves and 175' deep on Florida coastal wrecks. I have been trained by NOAA (http://www.ndc.noaa.gov/#ndc) and the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (http://www.uhms.org/) in Hyperbaric and Diving Medicine and am qualified to supervise recompression chamber treatments. I am scheduled to be a faculty member at the Diver's Alert Network (http://www.diversalertnetwork.org) upcoming Dive Medicine Continuing Medical Education Course in April 2001. In addition, I am a Consultant Physician for Diving Medicine Online (http://www.gulftel.com/~scubadoc/). A detailed medical biography for Dr. Quigley is located on the Humana website (www.humana.com) at: http://205.145.64.200/providers/bios10.asp |
