Erik Haberkern I have been diving recreationally since 1995. My diving experience ranges from photographing spawning corals at the pristine Flower Gardens in The Gulf of Mexico, to sediment coring in the Choptank River, a polluted subestuary of the Chesapeake Bay. I finished my Bachelor of Science at Rutgers University in New Jersey in 1997, under the direction of Sybil Seitzinger. I continued my studies at the University of Maryland under the direction of Jeff Cornwell. My research to date has focused on benthic algal production and how the algal production affects the nitrogen cycle in marshes. My goals are to help with whatever needs to be done as well as to offer a different perspective of study. |
