Journal 7 - Mike Florant: Saturation Day 4: Thursday, September 14, 2000

Four days into the mission and everything seems to be running smoothly. We had some minor problems with our telemetry system that delayed some journals being posted earlier in the week, but everything is back up and running smoothly.

This is my second mission with Mike Smith (the other technician on board Aquarius this mission). He has learned a lot and does a real good job. This is also my second mission with Celia Smith's group. They are a good group to work with, and definitely get a lot of work done down here.

Visibility is quite clear today. I can easily see out across the reef to the resident groups of grouper, snook and permit that frequent the Aquarius site, and often pass by the viewports. They seem to be just as interested in us as we are of them.

After seven missions, I still enjoy being down here. It is nice to escape from the surface world for awhile - and live with the fish. Until next time...
