Craig Taylor
Trustee Wildlife Conservation Society

Although Craig works in the money management business in Stamford, Connecticut his first and lasting interest in life has always been the oceans and marine biology.

As a boy growing up in Colorado, Craig spent his summers swimming in lakes near his house and was intrigued with what lived in the cloudy waters of these mountain lakes. At age sixteen he learned to SCUBA dive in the clear waters off Mexico and his interest in the oceans took off. He continued his interest by working on a marine research vessel off Nova Scotia, collecting specimens for the Vancouver Public Aquarium in British Columbia, and studying fish in the Bahamas at a marine institute.

Craig maintains his interest in the oceans and marine life today by his involvement in the New York based Wildlife Conservation Society, which is the largest science based conservation organization the world. He oversees the New York Aquarium for WCS and is involved with their International Marine Conservation Programs.

Craig has four sons ages sixteen to five years old who also love the water from belly boarding and surfing to snorkeling at night in the reefs off the Turks and Cacos Islands. His hobbies are boating, surfing and skiing with his family. Craig and his wife Michelle live in Greenwich, Connecticut.
