Journal 3-Jim Buckley: Mission Day 4: Thursday, November 15, 2001

Time is passing by so quickly this mission. It must be the company I'm keeping. There is so much life
out on the reef at night, large grouper, very large grouper, snapper, grunts, lobster and shrimp to name a
few. To be able to sit out in the water for hours just looking for the sea life to entertain me is something most can only imagine.

There are places out on the reef called cleaning stations. Larger fish like the grouper will stop at one of these stations and have scarlet-striped shrimp clean their mouth and gills. Very cool. Anemone, coral, snails and I even saw a nudibranch.

So much life. I have forgotten how much you see when you are living in their environment. Life is so different living in saturation. With more then twice the pressure on your body you feel tired half way through each day. You eat and drink more. And I sleep very soundly. That's what I plan to do now.
