Nerina Holden I am based in Scotland, UK, where I work for the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (an environmental regulator), in the Strategic Planning Department. My work in "science" started after my first degree when I worked on physical oceanography projects in the United Kingdom. I returned to study, gained a Masters of Science in marine resources, and took up a role as senior scientist with the Environment Agency for England and Wales. My diving experience arose from sports diving in the UK while at University, and I am now a commercial diver, having qualified in the Orkney Islands. In the UK I go leisure diving with friends, dive in aquaria shark tanks, and help teach new divers. I have worked with Roy Caldwell and Tom Cronin on a number of field trips
around the world and look forward to another successful mission at Aquarius. |
