Laura and I had exactly 7 hours of bottom time today and we are still behind getting all our work finished. Tomorrow we will use 8 hours! That means out on the reef at 7 am, return at noon, re-enter the water at 4 pm, and then out for the night at 7 pm. We are tired and a bit cold by the end of the day. I think the highlight of my day was the beautiful yellow and blue queen angelfish that swam right up to my mask and stared me down. A loggerhead turtle and the Pederson cleaning shrimp jumping to clean the gills of a variety of reef fish were also very cool! The chocolate frosted brownies potted down to us by the dayboat crew were also thoroughly enjoyed. This place is incredible. |
