Journal 3- Mike Smith: Mission Day 3: Thursday, September 13, 2001

Day three and we're not as eager to get MSNBC on the laptop for news. Slowly, Tuesday is controlling less and less of our conversation, however, it's still a focal point of our thoughts. We've all been in
touch with loved ones and luckily no one has family injured from the attacks. Though, through email, I've gotten word from friends who are dealing directly with the tragedy. We're all planning to wear red,
white, and blue clothes tomorrow (if we can scape them together) to help show support for the nation and those lost.

Laddy is identifying different fish species and has come in with exciting news of rare sightings twice today. A yellow fin grouper and a chestnut moray. Yesterday, he saw a red cornet fish, documented only once in 34,000 surveys. Billy came back with video of a yellow bellied hamlet. Only one expert identification has ever been recorded in the Keys. Hope their good fortune continues.
