It's fantastic to able to be part of such a great team of scientists and divers. It's a true privilege to have the opportunity to work with NURC and the Aquarius Underwater Laboratory. I grew up in Pikesville, Maryland and received my B.S. in Biology at the University of Maryland, College Park (GO TERPS!) in 1994. I went to medical school at the University of Maryland School of Medicine at Baltimore with the Navy's Health Professions Scholarship Program. After graduating Medical School, I entered the Navy full-time and completed my internship at the Naval Medical Center, San Diego. After internship I went to Undersea Medical Officer training at Groton, Connecticut and Panama City, Florida. Currently, I am stationed at the Naval Amphibious Base, Little Creek as the Diving Medical Officer for Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit TWO. I am trained as a Navy diving medical officer, SCUBA diver, mixed gas diver, and in extreme cold weather medicine and tropical medicine.
