Dr. John Peacock, D.O.
Undersea Medical Officer
Navy Experimental Diving Unit (NEDU)

I am originally from Norristown, PA. I enlisted in the Navy after high school and spent eight years as a hospital corpsman assigned to USMC reconnaissance units. In 1995 I got out of the navy and began studying at West Chester University of Pennsylvania. In 2000 I graduated with a BS in cell biology. While in college I was accepted into the Navy Healthcare Professionals Scholarship Program and then attended the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine where I earned the degree of Doctor of Osteopathy (DO). I then completed a categorical internship in general surgery at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. In December 2005, I completed training in the undersea medical officer program (UMO) and am now on station at the Navy Experimental Diving Unit.
