Natasha Hilgenberg
Intern
Florida State University — Panama City

My name is Natasha Hilgenberg and I am the proud daughter of my loving parents Brad and Shina Hilgenberg. As I traveled the world with my family because my father was in the Air Force, I developed many interests. I have a strong desire to know a little about a lot and a lot about human biology, criminal justice and ethics/philosophy. Diving has done a great job in correlating biology with criminology, which is why I will be an active diver for the rest of my life. I feel that it is a privileged to be able to experience the life under the sea and want to share future experiences on the ocean by being the treasurer of the SHARC (dive) club at FSUPC.

I have lived in Panama City for almost nine years, which is the longest place I have ever lived. Currently, I am a full-time student at Florida State University in Panama City finishing the final course for the Underwater Crime Scene Investigator Certification. I then plan on graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Criminology at Florida State University on August 5th, 2006. I am also an employee at Bay Medical Center as a Certified Nursing Assistant and have been for 4 years now. I work there because I interned there while I was in High School because I was a member of HOSA (Health Occupation Students of America) and it allows me to keep up with my medical knowledge as while I finish satisfying my interest in Criminal Justice with a master’s degree. Then, I will enroll in medical school and hopefully travel the world once again but this time to help humanity.

Mission Date: April, 2006
