Daric Veal
Intern
Florida State University — Panama City

I was born and raised in Panama City Florida where I attended Gulf Coast Community College and majored in accounting. I then transferred to Florida State University to earn a B.S. in Business Administration with a minor in Professional and Corporate Communication. I am currently working towards an MBA at the FSU campus in Panama City, and am involved in the Advanced Science Diving Program at the university. My on campus life includes being a representative for student government, a member of the Sharc Club, (dive club) and I sit on the PBL committee (Professional Business Leaders).

Growing up in Panama City, and spending almost five years the in Caribbean I have a deep appreciation for the water and its inhabitants. I have always been around boats and the saltwater, so diving has become second nature to me. Whether it be fishing, spear fishing, surfing, or a relaxing day of sailing, if it has to do with salt water I am ready for anything.

As a business major I am especially proud and excited to have been chosen to participate in such an amazing research and remarkable experiments for the NEEMO XI mission. Not only is it a privilege to be working with such a talented group of people, I hope to do my part helping this project to facilitate growth and prosperity for the NOAA Undersea Research Center for many years to come.

I would like to thank my family and friends along with all the instructors at the Advanced Science Diving Program FSU, and all the crew at NURC for making this possible, and am working hard to make them proud.
