Ann Conner is a nationally acclaimed artist best known for her seductive and formally challenging color woodcuts. Using non-endangered native wood and brilliant palettes, Conner creates colorful, conceptualist woodcuts that employ the intrinsic grain of the wood. Recent exhibitions include New Prints 2009/Spring - Selected by Polly Apfelbaum, IPCNY, International Print Center New York; Boston Printmakers’ 2009 North American Print Biennial; Kaleidoscope: Changing Views of the Permanent Collection, Cameron Art Museum, Wilmington NC, 2009; Contemporary Printmakers, Curfman Gallery, Colorado State University, FT Collins, CO, 2008; Pulp Friction, Contemporary Works On Paper, Deloney Newkirk Galleries, Santa Fe, NM. 2008; Troisiéme Triennale du Bois Gravé Contemporain, Musée Pierre Noël, Saint-Dié-des-Voges, France, 2007; Westwood and Other Recent Works, Flatbed Press, Austin, TX, 2007. Conner’s work is included in over forty major museum and corporate print collections in the U.S. She collaborates with Flatbed Press, Austin, TX, and The Grenfell Press, NYC.
