This mural was conceived
and designed by the UNCW Art Circle for the entrance hall of the academic
wing of the Cultural Arts building. The image is based on a digital
abstraction of From the Lake, a painting by Georgia O’Keefe.
Members of the Art Circle and other volunteers worked on the mural
beginning in September 2007 until its completion in March 2008. These
photos document the official celebration at the completetion of the
project.
