PRESIDENT AND CEO OF ROBERT MORRIS ASSOCIATES TO LECTURE IN CAMERON SCHOOL OF BUSINESS ON FEBRUARY 18

WILMINGTON - Allen W. Sanborn, the president and CEO of Robert Morris Associates, (RMA) will lecture at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 18, 2000, in Cameron Hall Auditorium. In his lecture, Mr. Sanborn will address the credit cycle, "Everything Is Beautiful." The lecture is open to the public at no charge.

Allen Sanborn works with the board and the executive committee of Robert Morris Associates to set the direction so that RMA remains the leading professional trade association in the areas of credit risk, risk management and lending. He is also responsible for the day-to-day operations of the association, working with the full-time employees of RMA as they support their institutional members and volunteers.

Prior to joining RMA, Sanborn was employed by Shawmut National Corporation in Boston, where he held the position of vice chairman in charge of commercial lending and was president of its Boston bank. During his tenure at Shawmut, Sanborn also served as a member of Shawmut's Senior Policy Committee, Asset & Liability Committee and Credit Policy Committee. He chaired Shawmut's CRA Committee and served as director of the Massachusetts and Connecticut banks. Prior to 1992, Sanborn was employed by Bank of America in the capacity of vice chairman in charge of the commercial markets group. He held several executive positions within the organization during a period of 21 years. Earlier in his career, Sanborn was employed by Citibank (1968-71) and Mellon Bank (1965-67). He was also involved with RMA roundtables.

He received his bachelor's degree in economics from Gettysburg College in 1964 and his M.B.A. in finance from the University of Pittsburgh in 1968. He also attended the Northwestern University International Management Program, Switzerland, in 1976.
