UNC WILMINGTON HOSTS REGIONAL SCIENCE FAIR MARCH 18

Wilmington -- The 2000 Southeast Regional Science Fair will be
held Saturday, March 18th in Trask Coliseum on the UNCW Campus. Two
hundred students in elementary, middle and high schools from 12
Southeastern North Carolina counties will present their projects
for judging.
Scientists, engineers and university professionals will select top
projects for medal awards in eight categories. First and second
place winners will advance to the state competition at North
Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro April 28th. The
public is invited to view the projects from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
Awards will be presented from 1 :30 to 2:30 p.m. in Trask
Coliseum.
The event is sponsored by UNC Wilmington' s Science and Mathematics
Education Center .
