WILMINGTON, NC -- The UNCW Association for Campus Entertainment is co-sponsoring "An Evening with Kevin Smith" at 8 p.m., Thursday, March 30, at Thalian Hall Center for Performing Arts, 310 Chestnut Street, Wilmington.

Smith is best know for directing the films Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Clerks and last year's Dogma, which starred Ben Affleck, Linda Fiorentino and Matt Damon. His films have won awards at the Sundance Film Festival and the French Cannes Film Festival. In addition, Smith won the Independent Spirit Award for Best Original Screenplay for Chasing Amy. Smith also served as co-executive producer for the Academy Award- winning film Good Will Hunting.
