WILMINGTON, NC -- The UNCW "Reunion" Big Band will perform a free concert at 8 p.m., Wednesday, June 28, in Kenan Auditorium. The concert is in conjunction with the week-long UNCW Summer Jazz Workshop scheduled for June 25 through July 2 and hosted by the university's Music Department.

The UNCW "Reunion" Big Band is composed of faculty members from UNCW's Music Department and alumni band members, many of who are active performers or music educators in southeastern North Carolina. The group will perform many contemporary big band arrangements including Dizzy Gillespie's Manteca and Duke Ellington's Harlem Airshaft.
