UNCW HISTORY DEPARTMENT TO HOLD FIRST TALK IN WAR AND CIVILIVATION LECTURE SERIES

WILMINGTON, NC -- Dr. Melton McLaurin, associate provost and professor of history at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, will present "World War II and the Death of Dixie" at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 24, in Dobo Hall, Room 134. This event, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by the university's History Department and is the first presentation in the War and Civilization Lecture Series.

McLaurin is the author of Separate Pasts and Celia, A Slave. Refreshments will be served.
