UNCW HOSTS UNITED NATIONS DAY LECTURE BY OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY PROFESSOR CAROLE FINK

WILMINGTON, NC -- Dr. Carole Fink, professor of European international history at Ohio State University, will present "The United Nations and Human Rights, 1945-2000" at 1 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 22, in the UNC Wilmington University Union, Hawk's Nest.A luncheon will be served at 1 p.m., and the cost is $9 with reservations due by Oct. 18. The lecture, which is free, will start at approximately 1:45 p.m.
Fink, a former UNCW history professor and leading authority on the United Nations Organization, is the author of Marc Bloch: A Life in History and The Genoa Conference: European Diplomacy, 1921-1922 which won the George Louis Beer prize of the American Historical Society.
This lecture is sponsored the UNCW Office of International Programs' Critical International Perspectives lecture series and the Coastal Carolina Chapter of the United Nations Association.
