COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY CLINICAL NEUROSCIENCE PROFESSOR TO LECTURE

WILMINGTON –The UNCW Alumni Association presents Dr. Carl Hart, professor of clinical neuroscience at Columbia University, as the first speaker in its 2001 Lecture Series.

Hart will speak at 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26., in the UNCW Social and Behavioral Science Building, Room 211. His topic will be "The Effects of Oral Methamphetamine in Human Research Volunteers." The program is cosponsored by the UNCW Office of Campus Diversity and Department of Psychology.

Hart was a psychology major at UNCW from 1989 to 1991 and earned a bachelor of science degree in psychology from the University of Maryland in 1991. He earned both master of science and doctoral degrees in psychology and neuroscience from the University of Wyoming.

The lecture is free and open to the public. The UNCW Office of Alumni Relations, Office of Campus Diversity and the Department of Psychology will host a reception for Dr. Hart at 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, at Wise Alumni House.
