UNCW HISTORY EXHIBIT ABOUT SPOFFORD MILL TO REOPEN IN RANDALL LIBRARY MAY 19

WILMINGTON, NC – The exhibit “Across the Dye Ditch: Remembering Delgado-Spofford Mill Hill” displayed during the Azalea Festival at 5051 New Centre Drive will reopen Saturday, May 19, in the UNC Wilmington Randall Library.Graduate students from the university’s Public History Program served as exhibit curators for the display which includes artifacts, photographs and documents from private collections. The Delgado-Spofford Cotton Mill was Wilmington’s largest textile mill. It opened in 1899 and closed in 1967.
