UNCW PROFESSOR TO LECTURE ON THE DEATH PENALTY

WILMINGTON, NC -- Dr. Jim Megivern, professor of philosophy and religion at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, will present “The Death Penalty in Christian History” at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 4, in the Cameron Hall Auditorium.

Megivern, a New Testament scholar who specializes in gospel studies and early Christian history, is the author of The Death Penalty: An Historical and Theological Perspective. This free lecture is sponsored by the UNCW Department of Philosophy and Religion, the UNCW Leadership Center, the Newman Catholic Student Center and the Cape Fear Chapter of the United Nations Association.
