WILMINGTON, NC – The Cape Fear Alumni Chapter of the UNCW Alumni Association donated a total of $2,500 to the endowment funds for three scholarships that will be offered by the University of North Carolina at Wilmington when fully funded at the $25,000 level.

The chapter, headed by Caroline Corriher ’97, contributed $1,000 to the Brian Pearson King Scholarship Fund in Department of Communication Studies, $1,000 to the Ralph Parker Scholarship Fund and $500 to the Shirley Gilbert Farr Scholarship Fund.

Corriher said the chapter is committed to continuing its support of the university by making a contribution to each of these worthwhile scholarship efforts.

These monies were raised at the eighth annual Cape Fear Alumni Golf Tournament, held May 18 at the Castle Bay Country Club.
