WILMINGTON, NC – Adrien Lopez, president of the Student Government Association at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, will deliver the State of the University address at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 28, in the University Union, Room 100.

Lopez, who assumed office July 2001, will outline SGA goals and projects for the 2001-02 academic year. UNCW Chancellor James R. Leutze is expected to attend. Following the presentation, refreshments will be served in the University Union, Living Room.

Following the reception, the first SGA legislative meeting will be at 8 p.m. in the University Union, Room 100. Tentatively, plans are to broadcast this meeting to the Hawk’s Nest to accommodate a larger audience. These meetings are open to the public.
