UNCW TO SPONSOR FORUM ON RECENT TERRORISM

WILMINGTON, NC -- The recent terrorism attacks in the United States will be the topic of discussion at a forum scheduled from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Monday, Sept. 24, in the Warwick Center Ballroom on the UNCW campus.

"U.S. Addresses a New and Formidable Enemy" will be moderated by UNCW Chancellor James R. Leutze, a professor of history and military historian. This forum, featuring a panel of experts from UNC Wilmington and Cape Fear Community College, will discuss the issues behind the terrorism attacks and what lies ahead.

It is free and open to UNCW faculty, staff and students and the community. In addition, it will be broadcast live by UNCW-TV on The Learning Network, TW cable channel 5.

Panelists include Dr. Leutze, Dr. Herbert Berg, assistant professor of philosophy and religion at UNC Wilmington, Dr. Remonda B. Kleinberg, associate professor of political science at UNC Wilmington, Dr. Lee Jackson, professor of psychology at UNC Wilmington, Marian Mosser, Army Intelligence (Lt. Col. Ret), who teaches at Cape Fear Community College and Dr. Lisa Pollard, assistant professor of history at UNC Wilmington.t
