UNCW MOVIE MAKER LECTURE FEATURES FILM SCHOOL DEAN

WILMINGTON, NC – Dale Pollock, dean of the School of Filmmaking at the North Carolina School of the Arts, will discuss his work at 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 30, in UNC Wilmington’s Morton Hall, Bryan Auditorium, as part of the Movie Makers Lecture Series. This talk, sponsored by the university’s Film Studies Program, is free and open to the public.

Pollock, former president of A&M Films, produced such major films as Blaze, House of Cards, A Midnight Clear, A Home of Our Own and Crooked Hearts. He also worked as chief entertainment correspondent for the Los Angeles Time and chief film critic at Daily Variety. A frequent lecturer at the American Film Institute and the film school at the University of Southern California, Pollock is the author of Skywalking, a biography of noted filmmaker George Lucas. He joined the N.C. School of the Arts in 1998.
