UNCW SPONSORS BEYOND GRADUATION: THE REAL WORLD - EXPECTATIONS FOR UNCW SENIORS

By Kristin Summerford, PR InternWilmington-The UNCW Division of Student Affairs, Sprint PCS and Kenny Barnes Portrait Studio will host Beyond Graduation: The Real World- Expectations for UNCW Seniors from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday, Feb. 22, in the university’s Warwick Center Ballroom.
According to Mary Crookes, university events coordinator, “Due to the challenges that seniors will face upon entering the most competitive job market in years, speakers from real-world employers are scheduled to discuss a variety of topics to better prepare seniors for the future.” Topics of discussion include: career preparation, ideal job candidate profiles, resume suggestions, as well as what to look for in prospective employer’s health and benefit programs.
UNCW seniors can register at www.uncwil.edu/stuaff/transitions/seniors/beyondgraduation.htm. The cost is $5 for registrations received by Feb.8 and $6 for registrations after this date. Payments in the form of cash, check or credit card are required before Feb. 22 and will be accepted at the Transition Programs Office in University Union, Room 202.
Online payment options are not available. Proceeds will be donated to the senior gift; lunch will be provided.
