NINTH ANNUAL INTERCULTURAL FESTIVAL HOSTED BY UNCW

WILMINGTON, NC – The cultures and countries represented at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and in the community will be celebrated at the Ninth Annual Intercultural Festival from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 16, in the Hawk’s Nest at the University Union. Food, dancing, music, traditional clothing and exhibits will showcase the rich cultural diversity of the area. The performance schedule is listed below:

Groups sponsoring display booths at the festival include: Cape Fear Assoc. of India, Scottish Society of Wilmington, Spanish Club, NC Citizens for International Understanding, Proveunce Ltd., UNCW Music Dept., UNCW International Student Organization, Wilmington Sister City Commission, UNCW Japanese class and student sponsored booths representing various countries, including the United Kingdom, Ecuador, Finland and Chile.

Foods from many different cultures will be sold. Admission is free and open to the public.
