UNCW’s Warwick Center Exhibit to Feature Local Artist Katy Lizabeth

WILMINGTON, NC -- Encre Folle (Ink Crazy), an exhibit featuring local artist Katy Lizabeth, will be displayed Monday, Sept. 9, through Monday, Oct. 21, in the UNC Wilmington Warwick Center Lobby.A meet-the-artist reception is scheduled for 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, Sept. 13, at the display. This free, public event will feature a talk by the artist and a raffle of various prizes including works by the artist.
Lizabeth, whose preferred medium is pen and ink, is a former professional clown. She earned degrees in early childhood behavior, criminal justice and technical physiology and has taught art to students and adults with physical limitations.
According to Lizabeth, “Arts and crafts can open many doors for individuals of any circumstance. Improving one’s self and promoting a good day surely reflects society as a whole.”
A native of Florida, Lizabeth’s art has been displayed nationwide including in cities such as Miami, Boston and Chicago. The artist will donate a portion of artwork sales to Paws Place and Coastal Aids Research Efforts (CARE).
